Why We Love Air Fryer Peaches
The more I use our air fryer the more I realize some foods are especially perfect for it. A great example is this air fryer tempeh. It's way too delicious to be so quick and easy.
Edamame, nuggets, and radishes are also fantastic in the air fryer. When it comes to fruit, it's like the air fryer was invented for peaches!
Okay, maybe I'm being a bit dramatic. But seriously, they really are amazing.
You'll love air fryer peaches because they're:
- an elegant dessert that's ready in 15 minutes
- healthy enough for breakfast
- vegan and made without oil or refined sugar
- a great way to use peaches that aren't quite ripe enough yet to enjoy raw
- and it's easy to make just 1 serving or scale it up!

Ingredient Notes
- Fresh peaches - yes, only fresh peaches will work here. Either white or yellow are fine. The peaches should be barely under-ripe for the best results. Peaches that are fully ripe and soft will cook more quickly and tend to get mushy in the air fryer.
- Maple syrup - the flavor of pure maple syrup is great with both tahini and peaches. Sub date syrup, agave nectar, or brown sugar, if you like.
- Tahini - instead of using oil or butter, tahini is a uniquely nutty and tasty option. Rubbing a little bit on the cut side of the peaches helps preserve their moisture during cooking.
- Cinnamon and a pinch of salt - though you don't have to include these, they do take the peaches over the top.
How to Air Fry Peaches

- First, whisk the tahini, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt. Slice the peaches in half through the stem end, and remove the pits. Rub the cut side of the peaches with a thin layer of the maple-tahini mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer to 370° F. Place the peach halves cut side down. Cook for 6 minutes.
- Flip the peaches and fill the center cavity (where the pits were) with the rest of the mixture. Use the back of the spoon to rub even more of the tahini mixture on the flat part of the flesh. Cook for another 4 minutes or until tender and caramelized.
Let the peaches cool for a few minutes, and serve warm. See my serving suggestions below.

Do I need to oil the air fryer surface?
No, as long as your air fryer has a good non-stick coating the peaches won't stick.

Air Fryer Cleaning Tip
Air fryer peaches aren't necessarily a messy recipe, but here's a tip to make cleaning the air fryer basket a total breeze...
After moving the peaches to a serving plate, immediately add water to the air fryer basket, just enough to cover the grate. The heat from the metal warms up the water and loosens any stuck on bits.
Baking Instructions
If you don't have an air fryer that's no problem! I also tested this recipe in the oven. To make baked peaches:
- Preheat the oven to 370 degrees F, and arrange the peaches cut side up in a glass or ceramic baking dish. Rub with the maple-tahini mixture, and spoon some into the cavities.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until the peaches are tender and caramelized on top.
Substitutions
If you aren't a fan of tahini, almond butter and cashew butter are easy substitutes.
For a nut-free option, melted coconut butter is gloriously rich and delicious with cooked peaches! You can also use melted vegan butter or your favorite oil.

Serving Suggestions
Air fryer peaches are delicious with plain yogurt for breakfast. Try my almond milk yogurt or cashew yogurt recipe.
For dessert, you can't go wrong with a scoop of oat milk ice cream or a dollop of vegan whipped cream.
Top with an extra sprinkle of cinnamon, healthy homemade granola, or sesame seeds or nuts. Chopped toasted pecans are perfect!
How to Store and Reheat
Air fried peaches are best enjoyed immediately. If you do have leftovers, store the peaches in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or air fryer.
Air fryer peaches are not freezer friendly.
Helpful Equipment
I use this 6-Quart Instant Vortex Air Fryer, but any comparable air fryer also works. Most 6-quart air fryers can hold about 6 peach halves at a time.
You'll also need a sharp knife to cut the peaches. And a spoon is helpful for removing the pits.
Top Tip
Air fryers vary quite a bit, so the first time you try any air fryer recipe it's a good idea to keep a close eye on the food. You might need to flip the peaches about 1 minute sooner if your air fryer runs hot.
I hope you enjoy these air fryer peaches as much as we do! If you try the recipe be sure to leave a comment below to let us know.
Recipe

Air Fryer Peaches
Equipment
Ingredients
- 2 large fresh peaches, yellow or white, barely under-ripe
- 1 tablespoon tahini
- 1 ½ tablespoons maple syrup
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- In a small bowl stir together the tahini, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
- Cut the peaches in half through the stem end, and remove the pits. A regular spoon comes in handy here. You can also use the spoon to lightly scrape away any rough bits where the pit was removed. Rub the entire cut side of the peaches with a thin layer of maple tahini.
- Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees F. Place the peach halves cut side down and cook for 6 minutes. Flip the peaches and spoon the maple tahini mixture into the cavity. Also use the spoon to rub more of the tahini mixture on the flat part of the flesh. This keeps the peaches juicy. Cook for 4 more minutes.
- Serve warm. You may have a small amount of the tahini mixture left. I like to drizzle it on the cooked peaches for even more flavor. See serving suggestions below.
Notes
- Preheat the oven to 370 degrees F, and arrange the peaches cut side up in a glass or ceramic baking dish. Rub with the maple-tahini mixture, and spoon some into the cavities.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until the peaches are tender and caramelized on top.
